I grew up in Johnston County, and I’ve always had a deep love for North Carolina’s people, history, and culture. I fell in love with Raleigh when I attended NC State, and I was delighted to return to the Triangle in 2003 after having lived in Rockingham, Guilford, and Mecklenburg counties throughout my fourteen-year career.
After graduating from NC State in 1996 with a degree in Mathematics Education, I taught seventh and eighth grade for three years in Rockingham County. Though I enjoyed teaching math and touching lives, I left teaching to pursue a career in Information Technologies, which led to positions training and writing in the IT industry. Today, I’m a technical writer for software company rPath, Inc., in Raleigh.
When I’m not working, I enjoy crochet, baking, computers, and spending time with family, friends, and my cockatiel Monty. I also currently serve as Recording Secretary for the Libertarian Party of North Carolina.
In the NC Senate, I look forward to addressing issues that are important to Cary, Morrisville, and Raleigh. I also hope to educate the voters of North Carolina about what Libertarians can bring to the table in the General Assembly. I look forward to meeting the voters, discussing their concerns, and answering questions.
